Our Approach
We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as our standard. As we build and maintain the site, we work to include:
- Clear, readable typography and strong color contrast
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images
- Keyboard-friendly navigation and clearly labeled links and buttons
- A responsive layout that works on phones, tablets, and computers
- Plain, accessible language — mindful that many of our families include dyslexic and neurodiverse readers
Ongoing Effort
Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time fix. We review and improve the site over time. Some content provided through third-party tools we embed — such as Google Forms and Google Maps — may not be fully under our control, and we work to offer alternatives (like contacting us directly) where needed.
