How a 3 Oaks pathway is built

We don't sort students by grade level and hope it fits. We start with the individual child, then build the plan around them — in every subject.

We evaluate

Every student is assessed to see where they actually are — subject by subject — not just where their age says they should be.

We build the plan

From there we design a Personalized Learning Pathway that sets the right level, pace, and supports for each subject — a curriculum built for that one child.

We blend strength & support

If a child struggles in reading but is gifted in math, the plan does both at once — stretching them in math while strengthening reading. Strengths and gaps are built into the same pathway.

We adjust as they grow

Small groups of 2–5 and ongoing check-ins mean the plan keeps flexing — speeding up, slowing down, and re-grouping as the student moves forward.

This is what makes 3 Oaks a natural fit for twice-exceptional (2e) learners — gifted students who also learn differently — as well as students with dyslexia, ADHD, IEPs, and 504s. One child can be both advanced and still building, and the pathway holds room for both.

Grades K–5

Elementary School (K–5)

The foundation years. We build strong reading and math foundations through hands-on, play-based learning and the nurturing guidance young children need.

Strong Foundations

We find the gaps from earlier years and strengthen them first — so "I'm not good at this" never has a chance to take root. Reading and math, built right from the start.

Hands-On & Play-Based

Young children learn by doing. Discovery, movement, and play keep curiosity alive, so school feels like something kids want to do — not something done to them.

Structured Literacy

Our Orton-Gillingham-trained teachers use explicit, multi-sensory reading instruction that's ideal for dyslexic learners and powerful for every early reader.

Grades 6–8

Middle School (6–8)

The bridge years. Students take on more independence and academic challenge — learning to own their work while support stays close at hand.

Growing Independence

Organization, study skills, and self-advocacy become part of the curriculum — building the habits students will lean on in high school and beyond.

The Right Challenge

Still grouped by level, not just grade, each student is met with work that stretches them — advanced where they're ready, reinforced where they're not.

Belonging & Confidence

A small, close community gives middle schoolers a safe place to figure out who they are — with teachers who know them and support the whole student.

Grades 9–12

High School (9–12)

The launch years. Rigorous, personalized academics, real mentorship, and a plan that points toward college and career — backed by a 100% college-acceptance track record.

College-Ready Academics

A challenging, personalized course of study prepares students for what's next — with the support that's defined their pathway all along.

Dual Enrollment

Qualifying students earn college credit while still in high school — passing PERT, ACT, or SAT benchmarks and enrolling at partners like FSW or USF.

Mentorship & Direction

Students find purpose, not just a transcript. Mentorship and our signature Week Without Walls help each student define where they're headed.
